Can a point be a circle or vice versa?

View 1 - A point is a 0 dimension object while a circle exists in 2D. So a point is not a circle.

View 2 - Imagine a circle with infinitely small diameter. Then it converges to a point.

This thing came up when talking about social circles and a person with no social circle only have themselves in it. So can oneself still count as a social circle or not a social circle?
