Roboroach

BBC has an article about how small robots pose as cockroaches and are actually able to influence the decision of a group of cockroaches on where to congregate. It is said that cockroaches make group decisions as to which dark spot to hide in collectively, and these robots spiked with cockroach pheromones are able to tip the decision 60% of the time. Sadly, apart from hard-coded programming for the robots the report does not mention any artificial intelligence aspects of influencing the cockroaches decision other than perhaps, the basic autonomous navigation.
